Medical Kits and Hygiene Products

Does the military supply their soldiers and officers with individual medical kits? Yes, it does, in theory. There are different situations in practice ranging from the obvious logistic disruption in a certain period of time for a certain unit to the equally obvious explanation “they’ve been utilized”. Somebody caught a cold, the other had a toothache or ate something that disagreed with him or drank not so fresh water - all these things happen on a usual hiking tour, not to mention the frontline.

Doesn’t the military personnel get a decent pay so that they can buy ibuprofen or nimesil for themselves? They do get the money, but there are payment delays, also, many of them left behind children and spouses at home and keep supporting them financially. But the real problem is in something else: there are not so many pharmacies near the frontline as you can imagine.

That is why we assemble medical kits and send them to the frontline. We understand that we are scooping up the sea with a spoon, but we hope for your help and other volunteers’ active support. Together we shall win!

What does a medical kit consist of? Firstly, we work with craftsmen who make cool pouches with various bells and whistles such as valves, pockets, fasteners. We received a lot of positive feedback from the fighters. And if there are new wishes, we will adapt. Sometimes some items are not available, such as thermal blankets or scissors, but the basic set is always there:

  • Antipyretics (paracetamol, ibuprofen);
  • Emergency antipyretics (Fervex, Teraflu, etc.);
  • Antiallergic (diazolin, loratadine);
  • Antidiarrheals (loperamide, nifuroxazide);
  • Detoxifiers (white or activated carbon, atoxyl, enterosgel);
  • Anti-inflammatory and analgesics (nimesulide, meloxicam, dexalgin, tempalgin, diclofenac);
  • Broad-spectrum antibiotics (levofloxacin, chloramphenicol, azithromycin, moxifloxacin, cefodox);
  • Antiseptics (chlorhexidine, alcohol, etc.);
  • Bandage elastic, medium stretch, 2m, 2.5m;
  • Bandages (sterile and non-sterile);
  • Plasters on a fabric basis;
  • Gauze dressing napkins (sterile) or an individual dressing bag;
  • Esmarch tourniquet, Israeli bandage, tourniquet, omega bandage, etc.;

There will be either certified tourniquets or ordinary tourniquets in our medical kits (better this way than having a fake tourniquet that will break up at the most critical moment).

We all understand that the quality of the military's performance directly depends on how well the soldier feels. Therefore, we are trying to ease the physical condition of the fighters as much as possible. We buy means to protect against insects, means to protect various parts of the body from intertrigo, especially legs (Teymurov's paste).

We also know that the military, who are in advanced positions, have problems with water. No matter how trivial it sounds, there is usually no place to take a shower there. Understanding these needs, we found a solution - a foam sponge called a "disposable shower". The package consists of a sponge and a towel, which allows you to wash and wipe, even if you have only 50 ml of water. By the way, this thing is made in Ukraine.

We are trying to cooperate with local manufacturers, thereby supporting them in this difficult time.
